I trim this box design twice a year. It’s a beautiful blend of curves and straight lines. The box hedging follows water rills either side of a lawn area, down to a square koi carp pond. The hard linear design of the box hedging is softened by the soft curves of the box ball and domes. The garden is enclosed with Copper Beech hedging, also known as Purple Beech (fagus sylvatica purpurea). The dark purple of the hedge offsets the green of the box perfectly. A lovely herringbone path leads around the box design.
